"/file/cp.cgi" totally sounds like a modern API that I should call

I've noticed more chart crimes recently. Always notice what data is cherry-picked and check if any axes are log-scale and think why the authors might have chosen that.

I highly recommend not badly spraining your ankle. I've been hobbling around for weeks. Plus point: having crutches mean you get a seat on the Tube even at rush hour

If I were an AI model lab, I would spend a little bit more of my budget coming up with a name which isn't silly and that means I wouldn't need to rename everything in six months. Latest example: "Meta Wonder Full". #ai

It’s nice of Anthropic to use my personal GitHub account as an example https://github.com/acme https://www.youtube.com/watch?is=5oP0m2opwTEfZcRI&v=-OH1y7CjIew&feature=youtu.be #ai

I drank some sake yesterday. Not too much. Just a little bottle. The dining room started swaying… Just a little earthquake, probably a 2 where we were in Hakone: https://www.data.jma.go.jp/multi/quake/quake_detail.html?eventID=20260821210756&lang=en

Why did I watch a video of gameplay of the “biggest computer game of the year” instead of playing it?

Yay, the latest version of Chi, a lightweight HTTP Go router, includes "feat(middleware): add text/markdown, text/csv, text/vtt to default compressible types". That means that apps that use it (like rclone) will automatically compress Markdown (so common these days) over the network. https://github.com/go-chi/chi/releases/tag/v5.3.2

I dug into the PrusaSlicer 3 beta. This now includes a plugin API, sandboxed via Lua. It's fairly limited right now: you can create objects, emboss text, and insert custom G-code. The API is documented as comments in https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/blob/master/src/slic3r-shared/src/Slic3r/App/Lua/ProjectApi.cpp #prusa

Slightly sidetracked exploring Atari ST SNDH music files. This is ICE! compressed 68000 machine code which calls the YM2149 sound chip. But the actual 68k often runs a virtual machine for the patterns and notes. Super impressive music for such a tiny file size #ym2149

Web Performance advice changes over time: Web Performance Tuning by Patrick Killelea (1998) recommends pre-starting Java in Netscape, 68K emulation for the Macintosh, and whether to get an internal or external modem. High Performance Web Sites, by Steve Souders (2007) recommends CSS sprites, how to configure mod_gzip, and mentions CGI scripts. What advice will raise eyebrows in 2030? #webperf

I have a number of Markdown files, and recently I have realised that Obsidian is pretty good at viewing them, searching them and even treating them like a database Bases. (I know, I'm late to the party). What other Obsidian features should I be aware of? #obsidian
