  To manage the AI madness, I've started writing html templates. Old school way. Using #11ty, #SCSS, some bunch of scripts and template languages. Not a single line is written by LLM. It feels so good. I used to be so fast with this things. Now I need tons of time to remember everything. But the feeling is amazing.

  @thomasfuchs The paradox is that placing air conditioning in all those places for all those people will speed up global warming, and increase the problem even more. That is unfortunate, of course, but real solutions to this mess are unacceptable for most governments. And the right wing crowd doesn’t “believe “ that we even have a problem. And yes, I suffer like all tge rest, and I have no air conditioning.

  @thomasfuchs I’m trying to find something with those numbers, because for me it doesn’t sound right. Too many assumptions and statements. Presence of AC in any form of efficiency has no way of reducing heat waves and their causes. You can’t compensate produced electricity by not using more of it at winter. It’s already produced, consumed and byproducts already went to atmosphere. It does sounds like just another climate maladaptation example. But if there’s research, can you share it?

  Sometimes I wonder, do these people really think this ai generated crap looks somehow "awesome"? Everyone (at least in IT) has a trained eye already to just ignore this kind of generated stuff.   @jolla@techhub.social There used be a lot of associations of Jolla with russia before. It was even considered to be used for government projects, at least there were reports about that. At this point, is there any business connections with russia, or company moved on to the „good side”? Asking, becase this will influence purchasing decision.
