  Just reading about #superalignment and although some of the objectives are sounds, the premise itself is ludicrous: how can we ensure alignment of #AI when we cannot align ourselves together on matters as obvious as the survival of humanity? We can blame the AI now or even in the future, but that's lying to ourselves: if we go extinct, it will be because one part of humanity will have gained so much power to overcome the others. And that has already begun.

  I'm a big proponent that anthropomorphism in technology is bad. That's include using intelligence to describe AI, Learning in ML, or Attention in GPT. But if you agree with me, what should we called them instead? Autonomous Generative Algorithms instead AI? Pattern Predictor Generation for ML? #AI #machinelearning

  I find strange that when people complain about HiPPO decision making, very often, they are proposing to replace it with "little hippo": instead of one big bosses, a bunch of little bosses reigning in their own little fiefs.
