Ahead of SpaceX IPO I hear people seriously considering data centres in space as SpaceX' possible market advantage in the future, as if the fact that the idea is crazy also made it visionary.

Apple water bottle is sold out. See, this is why I am not a CEO. I grossly underestimated the number of people walking around thirsty and needing an app to tell them what they are feeling.

I ordered plants without pots, so I had to go out and buy pots as well. When I was in store, I took lots of pots but also some more plants and it didn't add up when I came home. So now I have to go buy more pots...

I saw Odysseus yesterday and it was indeed not very historically correct. Calypso had a clear vaccination mark on her shoulder and vaccines haven't been invented until much later. Clearly a vaccination propaganda. Not sure Calypso would even need to be vaccinated because she was a nymph not a human at all. Can't wait for Musk to make a historically accurate Odysseus without all the western medicine propaganda.

Three time stamps worth considering with each noted piece of knowledge: When was the note made? I watched a recorded lecture on exoplanets two months ago. I took notes then. That was the time stamp. When was the source of the notes made? The lecture was recorded in 2015. All information on exoplanets might not be up to date at the time of writing notes two months ago, but even if I watched the lecture in 2015 this would still be true today. What time is the source of the knowledge referencing...

A world where vibe-coding a small tool from scratch is easier, faster and even encouraged, compared to trying to get legal, infosec, commercial approval for an existing one, even though exactly the same arguments apply.

It hit me again when I read "last month was confirmed as the hottest in recorded history" and couldn't guess the year of the article from this information. #climatechange

I can't understand why climate change deniers in UK are not freaked out by the fact that it's mid-August and it hasn't yet rained this summer and no rain is forecast in the next few days, but a fifth heatwave is. I know we are vastly different in our values and beliefs, but are we really that different in how we feel in our guts while watching scorched, dry land where it used to be lush? Do they not remember the lush before or do they not see the burnt vegetation today?

If they solved one millenium problem in 88 hours, why haven't they solved another one yet? It's already Thursday. I expect all of them solved and on my desk by the end of next week. Is that clear?

"Elon Musk Space Station" casually mentioned in a sci-fi TV show Another Life. I remember a similar mention of hia name in Star Trek: Discovery. Is he paying them or are writers simply fans?

There is often a pre-thing era and post-thing era for some things. Often we are not aware we're in the pre-thing era until a thing happens and we realise we are in a post-thing era and a pre-thing era can never return. There is currently no dead human body anywhere in the entire universe. All dead humans are on Earth.

I left my Copilot started, waiting for my input. It didn't autonomously do anything yet. I'll let you know when it does.

SimCity for Android is quite disappointing. I knew it was pay to play, but the game mechanics are obviously geared towards that too, primarily. I can't stop playing so now I play against the game mechanics and the creators' intent at the same time: make a move in the morning, leave it through the day, then a move in the evening, leave it to the morning. I am doing great! But why are mobile games stupider than PC/console versions? How does mobile force them to dumb down? It can&a...
