I can't understand why climate change deniers in UK are not freaked out by the fact that it's mid-August and it hasn't yet rained this summer and no rain is forecast in the next few days, but a fifth heatwave is. I know we are vastly different in our values and beliefs, but are we really that different in how we feel in our guts while watching scorched, dry land where it used to be lush? Do they not remember the lush before or do they not see the burnt vegetation today?
