I owe firefox an apology. I can log into GitHub just fine with firefox, but i had some sort of bad cookie that prevented it from working. blew away all my cookies and that fixed it. 😮‍💨 So, probably a GitHub bug, but 🤷‍♀️

RE: https://me.ns.ci/@xkcdbot/117467539052548304 Techbros claiming they’ve “solved” decades old human problems by telling the AI to write software that solves it while having zero actual understanding of the problem…

RE: https://mastodon.art/@danielsteinborn/117462978774610820 I hate that we’ve gotten to the point where my first thought was “ugh more AI art” when looking at something a human created.

Every now and then my brain digs up the common cis outrage or disbelief that a trans woman would “cut off their dick” But it was so utterly inconsequential to me. Like, my response to that thought isn’t even a “yeah? and” it’s an “oh. um, I guess” I am very happy to have a vulva. I literally could not care less about the absence of a dick. #transgender

After reading @bright_helpings ’s review of a trans masc pump and its multiple sizes of cylinders i realize i have zero clue how large a trans masc’s clit/dick can get. Like is the large tube really necessary? Have i been underestimating the … penetrative capabilities of no-op trans guys all these years?! Lesbian ignorance at play i guess. I never thought to go looking. https://www.girlonthenet.com/blog/pump-sex-toy-gender-affirming/ #TransMasc #transgender

Keeping track of folks who want to beta read my books, sending out invites, knowing if anyone's downloaded it, collecting feedback, keeping track of what version that feedback corresponds to… it's a lot. I brainstormed a web app for this with wifey a while ago. Decided to make it. Felt overwhelmed. Figured out the MVP version. Mocked it up. It's only 10 pages + login & signup ! 10 pages is doable! Hopefully i haven't forgotten any but still, a smal...

RE: https://ecoevo.social/@benlockwood/117473734654598095 "market" When you have infinite quantities of goods, and the cost to distribute is trivial per household … WTF does "market" even mean? Is it just what the rich guys collectively decide they can get away with?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@VeroniqueB99/117350705695921986 Belgian student is a dumbass. Gold is easy to melt and completely untraceable once melted. Sure, it'd take a long time to convert it to cash covertly but it's never making it back to its rightful owners, just some rich people's pockets. Or maybe the govt. to whom it's barely a rounding error.

The guy who wrote Wool put together a #writing app for himself. It's a really nice balance of minimalism, with a collection of really nice features. I'd bet good money it's AI written, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a nice tool to use. Video overview here. https://youtu.be/_K-ExOiEv40?si=JzozmeS7CrGYQ005&t=125 🧵1/5

Just realized I was hearing cicadas buzzing in our trees. Nice to hear them again. Not many though. Maybe just 1 or 2 got confused about when to wake up. Maybe early risers and more will come soon.

Trying to edit. Can't stay focused. Remembered I haven't been medicated for months. First because you can't combine adderall with oxycodone. Then because extracting contents from caplets to mix with liquid and syringe into my system is a pain in the ass, and because you shouldn't do that with extended release pills 😮‍💨😢

#VRChat is an interesting counter-argument with regards to age verification. Unlike most sites & games, a *lot* of :vrc: users had been actively petitioning the them to add verification for years. Now that we have it, I don't think it goes far enough. Being able to restrict a world to users aged 18+ is great, but I'm over 50. I don't generally *want* to hang out with 18yr olds or even most twenty-something's. We're just at radically different sta...

This is your friendly reminder that if you're a #mastodon user who regularly has something more to say than you can fit in 500 characters, I have a tool for that. FediThready will break your long thoughts into multiple posts. It supports images, posting as a reply, and more. Even better, NONE of the data flows through my server. Once you've loaded the page everything happens on your computer. And it's #OpenSource https://fedithready.app/
