The first season of #stargatesg1 goes extremely hard on the orchestral scores and choral choirs. I guess they had #showtime money before getting banished to #syfychannel #score #music #scifi #thebrocadivide

fucking #microsoft, send down a #windowsupdate to my 79 yo Mum's computer - that after it installs shows a full screen unskippable wizard that scares the shit out of her. all so they can ask her to set edge back to the default browser and try and hock a 365 subscription at her. Wasting both our time for nothing she would ever want or need. fucking dark pattern ui, where the accept the subscription is the button and the decline is a hyperlink above it #darkpattern #anticonsumer #micros...

As both a #startrek and #muppet fan I was looking forward to the #strangenewworlds puppet episode. What we got was not what I was expecting and my gut reaction was similar to a lot voices are saying. I would have respected muppet tradition, and not had them be literal puppets - a core tenant of the muppets is to them, they are real -frogs, pigs, bears etc. Both this and the dream component feels like it lowers the stakes of the episode However, more might be going on 1/2

is anyone else seeing minor artifacting on #youtube videos in the #flatpak of the #zenbrowser ? Nothing on their issue tracker, if it were wide spread I'd have thought it was there. Not seeing it in my #firefox #linux

#amazon has killed off its new #stargate series before cameras could even roll, because apparently what the writers room cooked up "lacked mass appeal outside of the existing fanbase" From the studio that makes Rings of Power... 🤷‍♂️ 😆 #streaming #sg1 #atlantis #mgm #primevideo #scifi #lotr #ringsofpower #myprecious

Monday afternoon, a member of executive brings in a hired 3rd party piece of specialist hardware for an event that interfaces with an old laptop that runs Windows 7 and needs to talk to a device on our network. He needs it by Thursday. Gets annoyed at me when I ask him if he's kidding. #sysadmin #security #endusers #support #windows7 #educationIT

Is anyone paying for #kagi_search or using the #orionbrowser they're making? What do you think? I am thinking of trying their 100 search trial, but interested in how paying customers feel about it? I am a usually a #ddg user and have mostly weened myself off of Google. Does kagi have their own crawler? If not where are their results coming from? #search #paidsearch #privacy #freedomisntfree

The moral of the #StrangeNewWorlds episode Four and a Half Vulcans is clearly humans make shitty vulcans. I enjoy this episode a lot more than he internet did, especially during my season 3 bluray rewatch. It's clearly supposed to be silly and stupid, because they aren't actually vulcans. Plus Patton Oswald! #startrek #rewatch #bluray #scifi

#daredevilBornAgain season 2 finale was 25 minutes of enthralling if predictable courtroom drama followed by a bloodbath and a satisfying resolution to the #mayorfisk arc. If they never come back around on #fisk again I wont be disappointed, I know the comics did more with him in exile, but I dont think its needed Some setup for season 3 (and probably #brandnewday) in there but this is probably the best thing #marvel has done for #disneyplus and I include #loki in that. #mcu #tv #comicbooks
