As both a #startrek and #muppet fan I was looking forward to the #strangenewworlds puppet episode.
What we got was not what I was expecting and my gut reaction was similar to a lot voices are saying.
I would have respected muppet tradition, and not had them be literal puppets - a core tenant of the muppets is to them, they are real -frogs, pigs, bears etc. Both this and the dream component feels like it lowers the stakes of the episode
However, more might be going on 1/2

#mrknowitall does a bit of a dive on what he feels were deliberate choices around peeling back the layers on why #spock would choose his vulcan side after experimenting with his human side. This is not a channel I usually follow and was surprised by the take aways in this video. There is more going on, both for the horror episode and this one and in service of spock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WUcmdtbv2w
