In-laws are ageing and have not the best eyesight and definitely not the best hearing. They watch TV with subtitles. Pointless though because HE refuses to buy a TV larger than 32" because... "anything bigger will get in the way of the lamp" There are 3 other lamps, 4 sconces and a main room light available, but this specific lamp cannot possibly be moved from directly next to the TV. Not even if it means they could actually read the subtitles on the TV.

Trying to buy an electric heated pet pad / blanket suitable for use in an outdoor pet house. So far managed to find a US product that is good, but there's no UK version. One on Amazon with a good, metal armoured power lead, but it has temperature settings that go up to 60C/140F, which is ridiculously hot. Heated blankets for humans generally wouldn't go that high.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Mobland TV series. It is ridiculous and over-the-top, but I already love Tom Hardy in most of the roles he's been in and Pierce Brosnan is doing an absolutely next-level job of his portrayal of a psychopathic mobster.

Gaming achievement today in Quake 1: "Slipgate Pacifist" Sounded easy when I decided to go for this. "Complete E1M1: The Slipgate Complex on Nightmare [difficulty] without firing a shot" It was not easy, but it was satisfying.

Ordered too much Chinese takeaway. Ate far too much Chinese takeaway. First we've had in probably 6 years. Wasn't my turn to cook, but my partner also wasn't really up to the task today due to low energy levels, so I went on a mission to find anywhere that would deliver food. Mission well and truly accomplished.

Interesting scam. My Apple devices prompting me "Use this device to confirm password reset" OK, no issue so far. Then a call from a UK mobile number. Automated "we have detected attempt to add an authorised phone number from ... Russia. Press 1 if this wasn't you" ... "OK we will contact you shortly" Dodgy, but no information given. 20 minutes later, call from a US number. American accented guy from "Apple Support" wants to talk to me about this a...
