Stray Kitten Report 7: slow progress with the little female, Charlotte, and that's a big contrast with Charlie, who now uses the cat door and visits home by himself. But she starts to play a lot. She's got that tiny face, mini paws, major eye makeup, and dramatic meows. She can't resist stealing the cat toys she plays with and hoarding them under our garden wood cabin. A little diva, but she also loves wrestling matches with Charlie. I'll show you that under ↓🧵 #CatsOfMastodon...

Stray kitten report 6: big steps this week; Charlie, the male kitten, is now spending a lot of time at home and also eats his meals with our cats. He is playful, adorable and cuddly. He is growing really fast! Also, yesterday was the first time I could play with his sister ('Charlotte'). She still lives outside, but she now feels more relaxed around our home and comes to play with Charlie every day. I still can't get close to the mother. I'm working on it! #catsofmastodon #cats

Stray kitten report 5: Real progress! One month ago, I could barely touch his head, but now, me and my wife have real cuddle sessions with the little Charlie. As for his sister and mother, we also do progress, they're getting there too: they tolerate us at about 1m away, but petting is still off the menu. #catsofmastodon #caturday

Stray kitten report 4: Breaking news! Plot twist. Charlie wasn't alone... He has a sibling, we suspect a little sister. Geminis! Also, a black mother. I knew it, but they were always both standing far far away, hiding, not even approaching, waiting the night to get food. But it's changing, they are influenced by the behavior of Charlie (a lot of progress, esp. our play times). Today, I could approach little sis' too. However, the mother, still impossible! a real shadow! #catsofmast...

Stray kitten report 3: Progress! Charlie ( yep, a name now, and also, pretty sure he's a little male) accepts gentle petting, sort of, though sudden moves and my phone still spook him. I tried to capture three video sequence, but it is still difficult. He's now meowing for food in broad daylight, and that's a change over the last weeks: before, our 'meeting hour' was only at dusk or night. Our routine: eat, pet while eating, then play time chasing a stick. Then he walks back...

RE: https://digipres.club/@RoxPoNinja/117319585022581130 Here is an on-going effort of highlighting and preserving my digital paintings & webcomics for future generations by the BnF ( Bibliothèque Nationale de France, I could translate to 'National Library of France'). They contacted me approx. a year ago, and it's truly a huge honor and support. Thank you. Archiving open culture matters. 💙

Stray kitten report 2: yesterday, first petting session accepted! But as soon as the little one saw it was coming from my hand, it was a shock. (hilarious) We're making progress. No photos this time, so I sketched a quick comic to remember it and share with you. #catsofmastodon

TIL after 70 weekly comics: Drawing faster, or a faster painting technique doesn't necessary lead to a better productivity and good ratio of artworks I love compared to my time spent on them with my stylus in hand. But I did the mistake of believing this, stubbornly, and for long. However, a boring technique, even slower, but one you can split in steps, trust, and predict, eliminates many bottlenecks: freezing, endless redos and stress. This leads to a better productivity and peace of mind...

Last review of the season, and let's go to the point: it's a bad model. I don't recommended this one. I'm not even submitting the video to Gaomon for review before posting because I know they would ask me to not post it (it happened in the past with another brand). But I think it should be also known, that's my role in reviews: cover the bad and the good. - On Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOf02Ss4HvY - On Peertube: https://peertube.touhoppai.moe/w/eFHWMqujXHNvTo7...

@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt Good luck with that. If it makes you feel better, it still happens to me even though I'm 45 and have been drawing and painting every day since I was 11. Here's a (unsolicited, sorry) pro tip: keep two sketchbooks. Use one for training and experimenting, secret, and use the other for fun drawing. Don't try in it to draw better or be more than your actual skill. Just enjoy expressing. For a long time, I felt frustrated combining the two activities. So, I shar...
