I'm an animist Celtic pagan and AuDHD trans woman. I've been a bit of a loner most of my life, but the gods keep telling me to seek community, so here I am. Hoping to meet cool people!

I'm a therapist, also getting started as a fiction editor, and I have a Substack on animism, ecology, systems thinking, and collapse called The Way Down from the Tower.

One of my recurring projects as a pagan for the past year or so has been taking a Tarot deck, choosing a deity I want to establish a working relationship with, and then using that deck to check in with them in daily readings. I draw 3 cards a day and keep notes on which cards I've seen, and I'm done with that deck when every card has appeared at least once (takes ~4-6 months). At the moment, I'm working with the Morrígan, and her primary message to me has been, essential...

As of today, I'm back to writing on Substack. This post is on the value of animism and reconnection with nature as antidotes to the central problems of the modern world. I feel pretty good about how it came out, and hopefully this is the start of a more sustainable rhythm of writing these essays again after I totally burned myself out on it last year. https://chickendruid.substack.com/p/returning-to-animism-in-times-of #animism #collapse

Today I delivered my first Fiverr order. It was a sample line edit for someone I'm hopeful will also hire me to edit their full manuscript. Honestly, this came a lot sooner than I expected to; I was prepared to get zero work on Fiverr for months while I built up a reputation through other avenues, but the first order came within less than three weeks of the gigs launching. Hopeful that that's a good sign of what's to come!

(Grateful to my partner for at bringing me breakfast in that span of time, and lunch afterward.) The net result is I'm r...

We are deep in a drought at the moment, and after the storm I'd been praying for finally came, we got an honest-to-gods double rainbow. I've never seen one before, and honestly I can't remember the last time I saw a rainbow in real life at all.

Hi all, I'm returning to Mastodon after a year or so away and have migrated from mastodon.social to pagan.plus, so time for an #introduction post. I'm a Celtic pagan and a devotee of Áine, and also just a general ecology and religion nerd. I'm a therapist, getting started as a fiction editor, and I occasionally write about collapse and systems thinking on Substack. Also a big fan of chickens. I'm a fairly shy and socially anxious person so I've always had a hard time gettin...
