Anyone have a favorite yoga nidra recording? (I haven’t done it since Boise, where the library offered a zoom event, but 4 hours of sleep is not getting the job done.)

Definitely missed a Hobbit Day opportunity.

This might not be what the self care app was envisioning its users doing, but it is so satisfying to check off celebrations.

Happy Donut Day to me. Donut Day is my personal holiday of walking away from Christianity. (Named because of the Donut Man’s roll in my childhood indoctrination) It feels odd to celebrate what felt like dying, but I survived. It was more of a whimper than a bang, more desperation than bravery, more utter bewilderment than choice. For so long I believed that my world would end if I left, and it didn’t. Unless they’re telling people not to use another technology.)

RE: https://jawns.club/@bugsnbuns/116476555513012537 Did a 15 mile run today. As I was telling my mother-in-law, how I feel about training progress depends a lot on framing. 15 miles doesn’t seem like that much more than the half marathon distance I hit in July. This run felt much better than that first half, but part of me is a bit disappointed that a 5 hour marathon feels out of reach (although who knows, cool weather might speed me up *a lot*). Summer heat was rough. August heartbreak (our...

Apparently I’m not the only one who thought ‘26 is a good year for a marathon! I was planning to wait a few months to commit to this being the year, but the Philadelphia marathon is already approaching sellout. If you’re so inclined, I have a donation page for AACR. https://raceroster.com/events/2026/111834/2026-philadelphia-marathon-weekend/pledge/participant/45699830
