  @dx What method do you use for the AeroPress? The “original” recipe calls for 175 F water, but conventional wisdom for people who use it as an immersion brewer seems to be the lighter the roast, the hotter the water. I used an AeroPress in the past but have become uncomfortable with putting hot water in plastic, so I use a glass Hario V60 now.

  @dx Yeah doesn’t seem to be much demand. Even if you do find it in store, it’s often months past it’s roast date. Even the “medium” roasts you find are often verging on dark. I mostly end up ordering coffee beans direct from the roaster (just about every roaster has some kind of subscription plan).

  @dx Especially as a parent it’s so nice to raise kids in an environment where the only ads are small posters and signs for truly local businesses and organizations.

  @kboyd Thanks, this is a good impetus for taking a look at Obsidian again. I currently use Bear, but I've used nvALT, a folder of documents I open in my text editor, and others, and never been completely happy. Last time I did a survey of options I excluded Obsidian for some reason (I think it was lacking polish and felt klunky on macOS), but it looks much improved since then.

  @notjustbikes One of the first PC demos I saw was Amnesia by Renaissance (1992), which was among of the few that used both the OPL2 FM synthesis _and_ four sample tracks together to make much richer music than anything else on SoundBlaster.
