  Hi all: obscure IOS audio question. I need an app which can record in high quality, ,which has a gain control and which can share out easily. Just Press Record does not have variable gain. I'm using TW Record at the moment, but it doesn't have the simple, double tap to start, double tap to stop thing that JPR has. It also reroutes speach to the earpiece when recording starts so its difficult to stop recording without that shortcut. Are there any apps out there that can do all of...

  hay humans: I'm setting up windows 11 for a technically-inept blind university student. I don't suppose anyone has written a guide of how to fix windows 11's most frustrating stupidities from an accessibility angle? I can remember some of them but it'd be handy to have a reference.

  This human is like 20, blind, going to law school...but has almost no concept of how to use a laptop. Cut and paste was afairly new concept to her even! When done with her laptop she'd just close it and then not know that her batteyr was basically done. So many fundamental concepts just completely pass her by. Literally never seen this before in someone so young and its absolutely horifying.

  god damn, playing bass is a good time lol. Should have gotten one of these years ago. The active circuit makes it even more fun. I'm running it into a Fender Deluxe reverb at present which is probably unwise but its fine for the moment

  For those who haven't checked it out or maybe came in early when it was a bit too bear bones, the audio-only social network app called Ramblio is really becoming a thing. Custom audiences, hangouts, your own bespoke communities, all the rest. Yes its blind-focused and that sure comes with its issues but I often point out that these apps are the community that use them, so its on us to make it better.

  Re last: Christ, every country is jumping on this bandwagon. Remember folks, its not about the children. It was never about the children. How do you ban underage people from anything online? Make every person categorically prove their age. If you think that identifiable data is going away after use, you're hopelessly naive.   hay all: looking for an iPhone based recording app that either allows 32 bit float recording or allows me to change the level of incoming signal a bit. I have a set of binaural mics which run a tad hot and I don't want them to distort in super loud environments. Ideally it would export to dropbox or somewhere useful. What is everyone using these days?
