Oh man, I've already been stressed about going to #nttw10. Then something came up today to make me think I can't go. Ahhh!!!

I watched the #dpa2026 at #nttw10 on YouTube. Just had to comment on how dapper @mickylindlar looks! 🤩 Makes the fomo even worse 😅

Question for @Thorsted and others who might know. Is there anyway to tell if an AppleDouble resource fork is definitely not useful? I'm testing recognition of "unnecessary" or broken files, and my _.DS_Store was identified as an AppleDouble resource fork and kept (unlike a Thumbs.db, which would be removed). My understanding was that DS_Store is the Thumbs.db of Apple, right?

RE: https://systemli.social/@anneroth/117287754014137015 @anneroth@systemli.social is such an important voice, especially on #digitalprivacy and #antirepression, and she's written a moving peace on what it means to have lost A/I.

I somehow missed this very sad news, and only saw it when I read the #ddf newsletter today. Sabine Balke Estremadoyro played such an important role in feminist and lesbian archives in German-speaking countries. I was able to experience her at a few meetings of the I.d.a. Dachverband. #restinpower Sabine. #frauenarchive #lesbenarchive #CommunityArchives https://www.digitales-deutsches-frauenarchiv.de/blog/sabine-balke-estremadoyro-ihr-wirken-bleibt

OK, I know some of you have #bots for #mastodon. I'm looking for one to make posts based on an #rss feed. I see lots of possibilities, but I want something simple and secure. Any recommendations? Experiences?
