@caseyliss@mastodon.social Looks like I can make the website whatever I want…if that info can be accessed in the API, seems like a good move.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@daringfireball/116252309067166574 I’m so happy for the rich people that they have a nicer way to feel rich while they compete to prove who’s richest at an auction house.

@timonus@mastodon.social They haven’t even figured out out how blocking works in Apple News. I’m not hopeful

It’s a "call your Senators" day, US folks. Oppose the SAVE Act. Yes, even if, or maybe especially, if you have Dem Senators. They are getting polling that 70% of people support the act, which is clearly due to misinformation about what it entails. As always, 5 Calls makes it easy: https://5calls.org

@lexfri@hachyderm.io sort of annoying, but the pure business answer is to add a “coin” system. That gives you flexibility to give free/earned coins, have a subscription that gives infinite coins, one-time purchases for some, or, yes, watch an ad for some.

Apple Folks: FB22249314. Shortcuts can't edit Intent parameters that are string arrays. This has been like this since iOS 26.0 shipped, and it's just silly that it's not fixed.

If I write a detailed blog post explaining why I don’t want ever want AI to tell me I asked a good question, will it make it into the training data and they’ll all know that about me? Planning for the future.

I’m on the iOS 26.4 beta and, honestly, the best change is that the emoji in the News+ emoji game now zoom up to a legible size when you tap them.

So glad Apple allows app reviews to be submitted from the iOS betas now so we can be blamed for their bugs! (If you are on the iOS 26.4 beta, turn off "Reduce Transparency" or get weird things broken!)

Is there a way around Apple not allowing creation of new Apple IDs attached to your phone number? It seems impossible to create new accounts for things like Search AD API access, because it always blocks me at the phone verification stage.

One key design principle for Drafts has always been for it to feel snappy. As such, I’ve always tried to use animations judiciously and with purpose...and keep them brief. Seems like, at least back in 2012, most animation examples used 0.3s durations...so I stuck to 0.2s or less.
