There’s always a part of me that shudders seeing this on my watch each morning.

Here's one I can't understand: I have an IP camera. It works just fine. I can see it from most of the machines in my network. There is one PC that doesn't see it however. PC1 can't see Camera1, PC2 can. PC1 can see PC2 just fine though, so I'm really confused.

This is why I love @IceCubesApp so much. The AI image alt-text generation saves so much time. I usually have to tweak it a touch, but the majority is taken care of automatically. From: @mtechman https://mastodon.ie/@mtechman/113200467740174224

Everyone around me thinks I am some kind of computer wizard, except I see so many people on here that are genuine wizards, where I just have a little project ambition and a pro-grade ability to google well. When I run into stupid issues like I can't log into this computer via RDP, I feel like an absolute idiot still, while the people around me just think it's some kind of magic to even think about remote access.

It’s happening again, and I have no idea what fixed it last time anymore. Except this time I also can’t see my router, because it claims to not be connected to the internet. Yet I’m remotely accessing the local computers from across town. From: @aardvarksagus https://mastodon.social/@aardvarksagus/113064992620743172

@videograndpa Nice! May have to grab some. I need to look into some halfway decent studio headphones for myself. Any budget recs?

@videograndpa Thank you! That’s exactly the info I was looking for. I probably will avoid the Grado however because I am really not a fan of on-ear. I use some JBL Tune500BT phones at work, and after a while using those my ears just hurt. It’s the glasses. On-ear doesn’t play well with them. Also, I think I’d prefer closed since I’m toying with the idea of recording. I picked up a decent little mic setup that I can’t wait to test.

@videograndpa Yeah, wouldn’t be blasting them. Just need to hear, not *experience*.
