  Unusual request for the #yeg #Edmonton area - please boost for reach. I have been narrating audiobooks for the past year. I am currently using a Rode NT-USB mic, and it is fine, but I would really like to try out some other good quality mics to compare. The ask: looking for anyone in the #yeg area with a professional condenser or shotgun mic they would be willing to let me borrow, or test out with them (your studio or library?). Eg a different Rode, Neumann, AT, Sennheiser, etc.

  Two burnt out parents over here. Two high needs kids, and no support. We applied to FSCD (respite support) over two years ago; took over a year just for the application to be approved. Another year later, still no case worker. Oldest is almost 12, will be too old for respite care. I think that's the point in #Alberta - wait long enough to provide service, and it'll eventually no longer be needed. Doubt the youngest would qualify, his needs aren't really from disability. #...

  Omg. The #Alberta energy rebate application process! 🤯 The list of financial institutions does not include Servus, Alberta's largest credit union, but does include several BC institutions. As always, cons making it as hard as possible for people to get their freebies, to make it look like they're helping the little guys when it's all just a bureaucratic circus.   Went to the Royal #Alberta Museum in downtown #yeg yesterday. It was pouring rain, so we opted to take the pedways. There was NO signage indicating that the pedway to the museum is closed - it is still marked with signs indicating Museum. Had to backtrack out into the rain, and cross across construction to get to the museum.

  #Clickup users - are email reminders no longer a thing? Is the only option now to have inbox reminders? If so - that's crap!! I'm not a power user who's logged into ClickUp all the time, and I'm a one-person shop - I don't even use the inbox! Any tips for other ways to get reminders from ClickUp outside of ClickUp?

  I'm experiencing the weirdest feeling. Our 11-year-old is socially awkward, and doesn't go to the neighbourhood school, therefore doesn't really know any kids in the hood. One of his schoolmates moved into the hood this year, and is also awkward.   In response to an article about rental prices coming down and the reasons why. It was implied that a huge increase in infill development is the reason (as though that's a bad thing? 🤔). I'm not sure this is how housing economics works.

  Is it standard practice to get detailed measurements for a house listing? Like getting a company in to do it? I've been told that AREA and CREA both want these, which suggests to me that it's standard. But if that's the case - why hasn't it done during the 1.5 years that our #Realtor has been "trying" to sell my parents' house?? I am super concerned about this Realtor, but my parents refuse to find someone else. 🙁 #RealEstate
