Just in case you didn't realize it before - there are 3 major religions in this world that all follow the same God but have different interpretations of wtf happened after they split from the original texts. Their God didn't change, they just did. The first one decided that they're right, and no other prophets came along after their prophets. The second one said, "we accept most of your religion but this guy showed up and he's the son of God" The third one said, &quot...

Here's a fascinating fact (well it probably is if you don't get out much...) KFC on Twitter only follows eleven people. Six guys whose first name is Herb, plus Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C. In other words - “11 Herbs and Spices”. You’re welcome.

On radio 4 today, the Reform policy strategist was explaining that they have more policies than simply stopping immigration. He said they are going to aggressively cut waste from government. His first example was Welfare (which is an overwhelming burden), and then to cut the Home office as it was so bloated. So, after they get rid of immigrants, then cut welfare for the rest of us, and cut government so there is nobody to do any work, meaning that will be privatised and we will all have to pay f...

This made me cry. In a brief moment, a mother with Alzheimers looks into her daughter’s eyes, remembers her, and tells her she loves her. Life is precious. Memories are a gift. Parents are the greatest gift. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoXJvgqaSsk

In 1971, the Texas House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill honouring Albert DeSalvo for his work in applied psychology and population control. The aim of the bill was to show that legislators often don’t pay attention - DeSalvo was a serial killer.

So, the OBR says, rather than an extra £350m a week, it is actually a loss of £800m a week. You may remember that Boris Johnson was taken to court for lying on the bus, and the judge found for Bozo, stating that he was a politician and no reasonable person would expect him to be truthful and that therefore his claim on the bus was never meant to be taken as the truth.

Hawkeye: War isn’t Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse. Father Mulcahy: How do you figure that, Hawkeye? Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell? Father Mulcahy: Sinners, I believe. Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them — little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.

1/3 James Bond There's a wonderful true story about Roger Moore meeting a young fan in Nice airport in 1983. Mark Haynes was seven years old when he recognized Moore as James Bond while travelling with his grandfather and asked if it was okay to get an autograph. "As charming as you'd expect, Roger asks my name and duly signs the back of my plane ticket, a fulsome note full of best wishes," remembers Mark. "I'm ecstatic, but as we head back to our seats, I glance dow...

I love "The hierarchy of disagreement". We collectively need to learn how to argue and disagree in a kinder, more efficient way. The whole article is worth reading. If you are pressed for time just read the pyramid and laugh at the lowest stage. Source: https://bigthink.com/personal-growth/how-to-disagree-well-7-of-the-best-and-worst-ways-to-argue/
