@MarkHoltom@mastodonapp.uk I don't deny the violence of Israel's genocide on Palestine. I'm not saying it isn't important or not worthy of our collective attention. It is. But do you have sources for this affirmation ? Does it account for global causes of death like infectious diseases or other medical causes... or it is excluding them ? I mean. About 5 million children under 5 die each year. Most of them (globally) from infectious diseases, although it depends on the region. Another 2 millions under 20. There aren't even that many children (or even adults ?) in Gaza, so, the maths aren't mathing. Where does the statement come from ? How was it established ? I get that we're trying to raise awareness but I'd hate to spread misinformation - it won't get us far. (Edited to clarify)
