    It is endearingly quaint how the XFCE4 default menu still contains Internet and Multimedia categories in 2026. I&#39;m not saying this is somehow wrong, or needs to be changed; they&#39;re suitable catch-alls. Nevertheless it makes me chuckle every time I see it, which is rarely enough to keep fresh.

    Einem Bekannten wurde &quot;ordentlich&quot; nach 4 Monaten innerhalb der Probezeit gekündigt, nach einem Arbeitsunfall, der ihn längere Zeit mit Rückenschaden außer Gefecht hält. Kann halt passieren, wenn man zu zweit &amp;gt;100 kg Geräte in irgendwelche Keller tragen soll, natürlich ohne Sackkarre o. ä. Werkzeug. Blöd nur, wenn man einen Monat vorher eine Änderungsvereinbarung über die Verkürzung der Probezeit auf drei Monate geschlossen hat, und der Bekannte einfach mal seinen Ex-Betriebsra...

    Engineers, artist, craftspeople, and really everyone else doing anything productive: Please take pride in your work. Do not settle for &quot;good enough, move on&quot;, if you have the choice. Feel comfortable signing your work, and take full responsibility for whatever you produced. Even more so if you could easily hide awful, fragile messes without people dying immediately. Looking specifically at you, fellow software engineers. :) We can do better than ~gesticulates wildly~ all of this....
