I've heard about fake/substitute interview candidates being a thing, but I've now seen it with my own eyes. It was a real trip... HR gives us the candidate's picture from the pre-screen, and it was very obviously not the same person. I snapped a screenshot and DM'd the recruiter but they didn't respond right away. So I went ahead with the interview, second guessing myself the entire time until recruiter was able to confirm (and join me in bewilderment). It was going to be a no on content alone, but my head is still spinning from it. The kicker: it was the first interview I've conducted in years! What are the odds ⁉️ ⁉️
