Okay, so I’m at city hall, and this part is mostly a shitpost but also the kind of hyperlocal shitpost y’all apparently read me for:
If you’re voting at city hall today, you want to take the stairs to street level 1; not any of the lobbies or intermediary floors.
For some reason they’re missing signage downstairs and I just went on a fun adventure with a half dozen of our neighbors trying to find the voting center.

Back to business, City Hall looks great. Other than the missing signs downstairs, very organized. If there are federal folks, they’re in plainclothes and not bothering anyone. Security is a local contractor (Allied Universal), and while I can tell folks are reluctant to talk to me, they said they’ve not noticed or been approached by any federal monitors either. To clarify, it’s actually normal to have outside monitors, so that wouldn’t really be cause for concern anyway. Okay, one stop left!
