And enjoy the community in general - it's actually something i do look forward to even if I don't know that much about cycling but do ride like every day and it's my primary mode of transport... #BikeNite

I was off my bike for many years, and if you recall, people here entertained my questions and i *finally* got back on a bike. I don't know why it took me so much to get back to bicycling, but thanks all! (Really, trivial riding, but the mental barriers were great). (the only thing I wish people here had said, is to CHANGE YOUR TIRES if you have 50 year old tires on your bike) (shudders, glad I did not crash and burn)

The transformational moment for me was getting an e-bike, which propels me about half again as fast as my mountain bike, and which has turned into a replacement for a car. The 1980s vintage mountain bike is repurposed as a winter bike, with studded Schwalbe Winter Marathon tires. I bring it out for the first snow. At some point I made the transition from "I have a bike" to "I have some bikes", usually the right number is n+1 bikes. #bikenite #biketooter
