I'm getting really annoyed with people taking all the "ai will kill us all" from openai and anthropic on face value. people need to be a bit more cynical. they just want the government to make their competition illegal before they get any market share because they know their business depends on having a monopoly. that's it. end of story. they don't actually think AI will kill everybody. they think if others are allowed to develop usable models they will have a hard time charging $50/M tokens.
