Attempting to access what little supports there are was miserable and slow. The ONLY way we were able to access them was by responding to the threat of more DHS involvement with a lean-in to the camera and saying “good, let’s do it”.

Suddenly pushes to bring her home from a child psych unit (that was only getting compliance from her because they were sedating her non-stop) turned from intense pressure to an IMMEDIATE reversal of a 9-month waiting period for residential treatment to an available spot opening up… tomorrow. This PRTF also had significant problems: failed to assign her a therapist after the one she was initially assigned left for a better opportunity. Ignored us when we said she wasn’t ready; shamed us.
