@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot Fascinating. We’ve got lots log primroses popping up now and i’ve been corrected a few times for calling them cowslip - which is a completely different flower. *rubs primroses on eyelids

@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot Ah, so we will be safe later this summer... We have a bunch of Oenothera elata (Hooker’s Evening Primrose) that are in their second year where they flower. They are still just a rosette of leaves.

@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot Tired: Put iron over your door so the fairies don't steal you away Wired: Stand in a bunch of primroses yelling "Hellooooo! Over here! I'm sick of all this, come get me!"

@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot Aren't primroses poisonous?

@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot So the primrose path leads to dalliance with fairy folk! This explains much

@ChaHarper@mastodon.scot Oh, fairies are no problem. What you really don't want is a bunch of cloaked, modern druids moving in. They'll make a right mess of the flower beds.
