@inthehands@hachyderm.io @fulanigirl@mstdn.social Whenever I hear someone lamenting how terrible young people are nowadays, and it all sounds very concerning and very plausible, I try to ask if the young people they personally know are like that. Almost always: no, not the ones they know. The ones I know seem fine too. But a lot of people are deeply concerned about big, widespread problems they’ve heard are affecting whole generations out there somewhere, just outside their own social circles.
