I was never a fan of Red Delicious and still prefer McIntosh and Cortlands.
I am reticent to try the new varieties because I don't like sweet apples. I like them tart and refreshing. And I don't fancy paying higher prices for fancy apples.

@CStamp@mastodon.social Galas are my favs. They have a great mix of sweet and tart and are more tender than traditional varieties. Love ‘em.
