@nixCraft@mastodon.social It's simple, unhinged capitalism. They have a product, and they have to convince the world that it has value in hopes people will pay for it. It helps that the wealthy have no other place to invest their money because they own everything already, but they want a return on that investment. I keep hoping for the bubble to burst.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social it kinda follows that if you teach something from a tainted base you get...taint! I think maybe AI needs a bit of sensible censorship of teaching material. Actually I would've thought that would be a basic cornerstone when it comes to teaching ai, children, other sentient creatures that we want to like us in general terms... Maybe those behind their respective ai steering wheels have something other than generally liking us in mind.
