Mastodon is supposed to be a free social network, safe to use without significant risk of a random machine stealing the pictures of you and your kids for training purposes (haha you wish).
But somehow I don't see so many profile photos of real people or their relatives which is a crucial element to sustain social interactions.
so, wtf?

@simonas@wtf.lt I feel you’re overthinking this. It’s neither tinder or linkedin where profile pictures might make big impact. To illustrate, my mugshot was on profile yesterday. Today, I’m a donkey. Tomorrow? Who knows. Most of us have bio or intro toots if you’re interested. Also - lots of media. And the best thing - you can meet the most of folks in real life safely :)

@simonas@wtf.lt well, faces are for Pixelfed, NoTrollsAllowed or the pub :) Clouding the judgement with unnecessary information does not sound like a right thing to do.
