@simonas@wtf.lt I feel you’re overthinking this. It’s neither tinder or linkedin where profile pictures might make big impact.
To illustrate, my mugshot was on profile yesterday. Today, I’m a donkey. Tomorrow? Who knows. Most of us have bio or intro toots if you’re interested. Also - lots of media.
And the best thing - you can meet the most of folks in real life safely :)

@marius@river.group.lt by neither overthinking or underthinking - for some of the folks meeting and interacting in real life is not considered super safe (or comfy) :) also my mastodon instance is overloaded with refetching of profile photos haha what I am saying is that a persons face is almost a critical component for a successful social interaction IRL and we compensate the absence of it with toots and code snippets
