Travel can be very stressful - especially if you're a parent & are the primary person in charge of packing. One of the most useful things I've ever done is create a Master Pack List that covers the average week long trip. It completely eliminates the mental load of figuring out what to pack. #travel #parenting #LifeHack

The kids now are in charge of their own. They roll a shirt, shorts, socks & undies into a roll & masking tape around it, then stack into the suitcase. A couple warm items. PJs, bathing suit. Done. Boys are easy - deodorant & toothbrush gets packed the morning of. We aren't a multiple pairs of shoes per person family & my own beauty products are pretty minimal. #travel #parenting

@syntaxseed@phpc.social I use checklists to pack for travel, and lots of other things too. If I've done it multiple times and tend to forget parts of it, I probably have a checklist for it. The checklists are overly-comprehensive as their purpose is not to forget things; I can use my judgement on a case-by-case basis to choose to skip checklist items if appropriate.
