TIL: The Go compiler is fast but sometimes could be faster. (1) If the Go compiler is not as crazy fast as usual, check the underlying SCM for suspicious activity, such as an `hg stat` call. (At least if your SCM is Mercury. I don't know if Go calls Git in a similar way.) (2) 300ms compile time for a Go "script" is not fast enough for some people (or situations).
