@CoMaps@floss.social Now that I feel like I've optimized the settings, there are things I quite like about @CoMaps@floss.social 😊 1. Because the map is downloaded, it worked in the mountains where there was no cell connection. 2. It sends the next step to my Garmin as a notification. 3. When I search for locations that have a Wikipedia entry, it pulls that up for me. 4. It doesn't track my location and collect the data for Fascists. 5. If I miss a turn/opt to go a different way, it recalculates new routes quickly.

@CoMaps@floss.social On the other hand, there are a couple of downsides. 😥 A. While it doesn't track *me*, it also doesn't track anyone else. So it only ever offers one route and has no traffic-related adjustments. That's part of the deal, though - you either get tracked, or you get traffic related suggestions, but you can't have both. B. It sometimes has trouble finding house numbers, and can get me to the right street, but l then have to find the house on my own. #DigitalSovereignty #DeGoogle
