I'd love to see an option in music player apps to switch between "by track" and "by album" for playlists.
In album mode:
* Each playable thing will be an entire album in order from start to finish.
* Skipping will skip the whole album and start playing the next one.
* Shuffle mode will shuffle the albums but keep the tracks in order on each album.
If only this could happen! But they're not interested, are they? :(

@miketorr@mastodon.art My father uses a command line music player that shuffles by directory rather than track, and in his case, directories correspond to albums. I don't know whether skip works the way you suggest, but it might. I don't know the name of the player, but I can ask if you're interested.
