Totally unrelated: I hope there’s a new Apple TV released this week.

@marcedwards@mastodon.social that would be nice, i just hate how there’s no dumb tvs anymore! i don’t need anything beyond a panel that takes in HDMI, the apple tv box is all i ever use. upgraded my tv last year and i got a sony which has been great, but now they’ve got bought out too… i had to update it on first use but after that i unplugged the ethernet and it hasn’t been connected to the internet since. also haven’t even touched the remote anymore i love that i can turn it on/off with the apple remote.

@marcedwards@mastodon.social apple is no saint - they're still collecting Apple TV user habits and using it to profile Apple customers, they're just better at it
