@gulovsen If I remember correctly, IBM's dominance (in reputation, size, tech, patents) gave it advantages that would forever preserve that dominance. Similar arguments apply to many monopoly or monopolistic positions, and those arguments are correct unless the weight of dominance creates problems or something about the world changes
