I tried to explain to one of my kids today that we can never assume that progress is permanent. We have to recognise the positive things we have, appreciate and maintain them.

@JugglingWithEggs@mstdn.social I am by no means knowledgeable on the Irish… I’m even hesitating over how to refer to it! So apologies. I have no desire to offend. But surely anyone with half a brain would know there’d be consequences for this approval? Part of me wonders about the ages of the members of the Parades Commission, where they grew up, their backgrounds… I don’t have any Irish connections but my working life was affected. We received regular training on potential bomb threats, suspect packages in the post etc. Madness.
