I have been searching for more recipes to make different ice cream flavors and it's been rough!!
SO, I thought I'd look in the old cookbook my grandma gave me before she passed away...
This thing is LOADED with them!! 4 pages of different flavors of ice cream!! 🤯
This is the, Joy of Cooking (C. 1968)
Flavors:
-Vanilla, chocolate, and Strawberry (of course), Delmonico/cream glacee, Caramel, Peppermint stick, Pistachio, Coffee, Apricot/peach, Orange, Eggnog, Mocha, Greengage Plum, & coffee.

Additional, there are "still frozen" ice creams (which I don't think I've ever heard of before) These are Ice creams w/o churning. 👍 Often referred to as "bombe" in the book.

@apple_dumplin@noauthority.social I will have to look up. Those old editions of Joy are fantastic. I bet yours has a recipe for brains and other organs that are no longer included.

@apple_dumplin@noauthority.social how do they make their bombe? I’ve heard of making whipped cream, adding sweetened condensed milk and freezing it to make ice cream.
