I've archived Rune, my AI word processor for Linux and Omarchy. It reached 0.8.7 in about two weeks with 504 tests, and I learned a lot. Then I found WordCraft, a fast open-source Rust word processor from the ArtCraft team. It already does what Rune set out to do, and more. Its AI works through a CLI, a JSON control channel and an MCP server, so you bring whichever assistant you like. https://blog.ninepointlabs.com/2026/10/sunsetting-rune/ WordCraft: https://getartcraft.com/apps/wordcraft #linux #opensource #omarchy
