The password question strikes close to home. I know that signup processes can be difficult and I've seen friends react with fear at the thought of a new account or installing a new app.
Of the people you've helped - would you say they are worried about security, or privacy? Or do they just want to know how to log in?

@amras@town.friendmaterial.lgbt Some people are concerned about privacy. Usually security is not as important. The big deal is they want to understand the privacy and security environments more so that they know what's possible. And a lot of big tech is pushing more security because it protects big tech but for a lot of people they don't need passkeys or six character pin codes or complex passwords just to unlock their laptops.
