@amras@town.friendmaterial.lgbt Some people are concerned about privacy. Usually security is not as important. The big deal is they want to understand the privacy and security environments more so that they know what's possible. And a lot of big tech is pushing more security because it protects big tech but for a lot of people they don't need passkeys or six character pin codes or complex passwords just to unlock their laptops.

@amras@town.friendmaterial.lgbt There are a lot more people who are really only using their phones or tablets to connect to the Internet and explaining the difference between using an app to log onto your bank's website and using the website is also something people have questions about. A lot of the people I work with who are technology cautious just don't do any banking online at all.
