@Tatsumeg@sakurajima.moe *Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex* is very self-contained, with episodes dedicated to background character development alternating with episodes dedicated to the main story plot. The latter become more and more frequent. At the end you can follow the development with all main characters well fleshed-out. And the story is very intriguing, investigation scenes alternating with fast-paced action moments. And a lot of humour with the "Tachicoma Days" -which lead to very moving moments later on in the show. It's one of the best series I've ever watched! #anime #ghostintheshell #ghostintheshellstandalonecomplex

@Tatsumeg@sakurajima.moe Since you’re already this far out, I’d say start with the 2026 anime. Then go back to the Oshii movies, SAC and Arise in chronological order. You’ll have a more interesting experience than other anime-onlies, and be able to experience the rollout the manga readers of the time did, instead.
