@Gnomeshatecheese@spinster.xyz See also a conversation we had some time ago about whether sports bras for long-distance hiking were actually just “necessary” for relatively small-boobed women who wanted to be able to walk around in their underwear.

  • @flick@spinster.club Oh I must've missed that. I have to say I've never actually hiked in just a sport bra (I have a few perfectly decent ones that don't look like underwear), because I just like to have most of my torso skin protected while hiking. And it just doesn't seem like a good idea in general, if one is carrying even a small backpack. Or did I misunderstand? I wear sport bras while hiking despite of being very small-boobed*, so I can take my t-shirt off if I'm stopping for a break and want a quick cool-down, or if I want to rinse myself a bit in a stream. But that's why I wear what basically amounts to a bikini-top, and I put my t-shirt back on when I'm done. *I'm also admittedly a bit weird about this, I wear (sport) bras a lot when other women wouldn't, because I really dislike feeling my boobs move at all while I'm doing things. I much prefer the sensation of just having a "single chest" rather than a chest with two appendages on it.
