You would have to overcome it yourself. If your character has food and shelter theres no need to sweat so much. As for the dying, the bears and the wolves could honestly use tweaking. Theres a mod called Toned Down Predators you can use.

Honestly the mental block of wanting to understand the game myself and not getting it is probably going to stop me from ever seeing the game as something I do more than respect before going back to modded minecraft instead. I might just not be autistic enough, who knows.
