@Iffine@varishangout.net @Kyonko802@varishangout.net @Ronnie21093@varishangout.net I would play vintage if I have friends for it. but most of my gaming friends are zoomers (same age as me but I would have to walk them through a dwarf fortress install) who can't play a game that isn't on steam

@Iffine@varishangout.net @Kyonko802@varishangout.net @Ronnie21093@varishangout.net I typically find food to be only hard to get in the first year of the game, you want to start a farm of some sorts asap. Hopefully you can get some food stored before the first winter hits that way, and after that it's pretty smooth sailing from there. A lot of things in Vintage Story are things that can be done in parallel to the active task, like farming is something you just set up and can mostly forget, as is clay-firing, smelting metals in crucibles, charcoal firing, and even going through the leather making process, these are some things you can just set up and mostly forget about as you do other things. Personally though I'm running out of shit to do on my dedicated server and wondering if I should start a new world :konata_yawn:

@Iffine@varishangout.net @Ronnie21093@varishangout.net Dig out a two block deep ditch as your fence and start farming right away, especially grains. Prioritize flax so you don't have to pull your hair out while you stare at your unfinished windmill for two years
