@AlisonCreekside@mstdn.ca The thing about bottomless pits is that you are always shocked when you pass that point where you think there could be no further down. The reason being is that you just didn't have imagination enough. This is our new lowest of lows, but it's not the bottom. Trump's dragging us all the way down with him. There's something lower than being a pedophile who has his friends disarm his enemies so he can kill them and brag about his strength. As we become that thing we'll learn.

@AlisonCreekside I admit I'm starting to lose track of how to categorize our crimes at this point, but this is surely on the order of ones that people were hanged for at Nuremberg. It's murder, of course. If there's any justice left in this world, people in my country's govt will be sent to the Hague, and some of them won't come back.

@AlisonCreekside It is very debatable which side of this conflict India will take. On one hand it's a key player of BRICS alongside Russia and China. On the other its the only country in the world that has consistently cheered on and fully supported the genocide against #palestine Indian-Iranian relations are complex at best. But, bombing India's unarmed invited guests probably doesn't do the Israel-US side any favours.

@AlisonCreekside Now we learn that the Iranian ship torpedoed by an American submarine was defenseless. A requirement for participating in regional exercises. The US was scheduled to participate in them, too, but withdrew at the last minute. The American navy needlessly sank a vessel that was no threat -- and apparently refused to render aid to survivors. That submarine commander and his chain of command are in serious legal jeopardy. It happens to everyone who works for Donald J. Trump.

@AlisonCreekside So the US knew the location of the Iranian ship off Sri Lanka bc both the US and Iran were part of a military exercise hosted by India And the disgusting assholes knew it was defenseless. They also just left the crew to drown. Killed Junior school children in an illegal double tap attack. I hope the actions are payed back a thousant times usa can not be trusted in any way, it should be isolated. ALL their troops and weapons must be removed from EU ASAP as a liability.

@AlisonCreekside In wartime it is lawful to attack enemy ships even if they are defenseless, but you must first declare war to give them fair notice that their ships may be attacked without warning. But we haven’t done that. Only congress has the constitutional authority to declare war. Every unprovoked attack on Iran is a war crime, including the school we bombed and the attack that killed the Iranian leadership.

@AlisonCreekside the issue for India is how to have sufficient influence to respond to this insult. India does have some strategic advantage particularly in the area of software. The European nations are very aware of how dependent they are on US software; how software often requires a massive user base to become available at economic scale. The strong connections india, it large talented English speaking population and the fact it is not China give it unique advantages. Slowly but surely.
