Recently, I've been seeing this anti-Harris attack ad that claims (1) Harris has let a flood of "illegal immigrants" cross the border, (2) some of whom are violent criminals, (3) whom she will "reward" with "transgender surgeries". Leaving aside the dubiousness of (1) and (2), I'm wondering if there's even been a single case of a trans person sneaking across the border and committing a violent crime to access gender-affirming healthcare. I'm guessing not.

Illegal border crossings have not gone up under Biden/Harris, and people in the U.S. illegally are more likely to have overstayed their visa rather than to have snuck across the border. Moreover, I think anyone persuaded by this ad has vastly underestimated how unpleasant incarceration is.
