@RosethornRanger@spore.social I once came across two gay guys doing a dom/sub thing in public - there was no sex - but being in public was part of the kink. Essentially, they were using passersby to facilitate their kink. That crosses the line of consent.

@RosethornRanger@spore.social That's why it annoys me when people complain about puphoods in pride parades.

@RosethornRanger@spore.social I Consent, Or Don't Consent, to what WE do together. Period, Full Stop. What you do in public doesn't require my consent, UNLESS what you are doing directly affects me or my loved ones... and then, our consent is required !!! Granted, there are a few things where one will NEVER get my consent, and will be called to account if I see them... CSAM, CPAM , non-consensual sexual relations (eg: rape, sexual assault, etc). These are things where my PERSONAL consent isn't needed, but the consent of involved people IS... In these situation, I will ALWAYS stand and support the "Victim." ALWAYS!!!

@RosethornRanger@spore.social Isn't the "Unless someone is performing a public sex act" clause just fully negating that post? Isn't the post about how e.g. cross dressing was considered a sex act? Furthermore, I would argue that stuff like kissing could be considered a sex act and noone is arguing that doing that in public is immoral, not for gay couples and most definitely not for straight ones. Relatedly, I've also at times argued that a straight couple being seen with their child should be seen as alluding to sex given how children in general happen, but obviously that ridiculous, ¿so where is the line? Are we just arguing where to place it, or do we decide that public sex is fine actually? (genuinely asking btw (not "you" necessarily though), since I don't know.)
